South End Real Estate
The South End lies south of the Back Bay and shares similar attributes with regards to architecture. Often regarded as more of a neighborhood like setting, the South End has more, shorter tree-lined streets spread over a skewed grid like layout. Many parks and squares are peppered throughout creating ample public space for residents to gather. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and preserved by the South End Historical Society and Landmarks Commission, the neighborhood is well preserved and maintains its historic character.
Today, young professionals, young couples and empty nesters have been migrating to the neighborhood since the late 1900’s. Many artists are located in the SoWa District as well as several restaurants making the South End one of the hottest neighborhoods to both visit as well as call home. Recently the SoWa District has experienced increased traffic and popularity with many restaurants, services as well as residential buildings being built.
